Do you or a member of your household in grades 7 through 12 have an interest in the environment? The Bancroft Area Stewardship Council’s Youth Stewardship Council is calling all interested individuals to get involved in local projects that will help the environment by joining the Youth Stewardship Council.
Past activities have included shoreline restoration along the York River in Bancroft, boat washing stations to increase awareness of zebra mussels entering local lakes and assisting with the inaugural BASC Environmental Summit in Algonquin Park.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about the environment while adding valuable experience to their resumes – great for applications to post-secondary institutions and the future workforce.
